Ok, I have had my LPN since 90. I am done having children, and refuse to accept any more excuses as to why I can not go back to school. I start back to school doing pre-req's. I check in with the nursing department to see where I am. The Dean says she has English Comp II but can't find English Comp I. I tell her it may have been when I was a teenager. I had not sent that transcript because I "w'd out" but did not do it in time so the whole last semester were F's. She says that is easy, you can fill out this form and have that semester forgiven. Ok, easy enough. Well I request the transcript to be sent, it doesn't show up in admissions. I sent my application into the program. I get a denial letter, saying my grade point average is too low. I have been on the president's honor roll and regular honor roll since I have been back to school. Come to find out the other school sent the transcript to the nursing department and that was figured into the gpa and thus the denial. After talking to the Dean I will be allowed to bridge in October but will have to take some other classes to keep enough credits to keep my grant and loans. And after all that I had gotten a D in English Comp I anyway. And another school let me take CompII anyway. I think my teenage years are always going to come back and bite me in the caboose. But hey I am approved to start in October I can't complain, as long as I get those semesters forgiven and retake English. :imbar

Oh, I'm sorry. Retake the English, imo a very easy A. Congratulations on getting in for October though!

My brilliant nearly straight A nineteen year old son managed to get two F's last semester in Greek and Roman Literature and Astronomy, two general education junk areas that the university requires of all students. I don't think it's hit him yet that these classes will follow him for years as he goes forward with his education. Sorry you have to keep paying for the stupidity we all go through as teenagers. Just apply yourself now, get it done and over with. Higher education is so stupid and short sighted sometimes that it just makes me want to scream. Good luck with school going forward.
