I am so glad...

Nursing Students General Students

Times have changed and the required uniform for nursing students is no longer a white skirt, white top, white stockings... and wait for it... the Signature nursing cap! I was hanging out with a friend of mine tonight who is a nurse, she is my same age but went to school straight from high school. I was discussing with her my clinical uniform, and need to find a 3/4 sleeve shirt with a higher neck line to cover a tattoo.... That was when she mentioned I had it so much better than she did. I thought she was just going to tell me all white! I was a little surprised to hear she wore the whole traditional uniform!

It does make me curious though, do any schools still require the traditional "garb" as a clinical uniform??

Our clinical scrubs are black in any style you want.

We wear all white, but they're pants and a top.

I personally love the old, old style of white skirts and white caps! Not very practical, but if anything, I'd at least like to wear the cap. hahaha. The nursing students at my university all wear nursing caps instead of the traditional mortarboard for graduation. I love it!
