What is the number of nursing schools that I should apply to? As many as possible or only to the one that I really I want?

I only applied to one school, however, I did not have any other choice. (location, childcare etc.) I think that it would be a good idea to apply to at least 3 schools that are stong possibilites for you.
Always have a plan B and make a list of pros and cons so that if you don't get your first choice, you will be able to redesign your long term plan!
Good luck to you GraceyB.

I applied to three schools this year because the applications are so high! So I picked three within a 40 minute drive and hope to get into one of them.

Hi, Gracey!
By all means apply to more than one place, just so you have a back-up plan in case things didn't work out for the school you really want.
I've applied to three schools:
I'm still waiting to hear from my #1 choice
#2 accepted me--so I *know* I have somewhere to go in the Fall!
and #3 rejected me!
Funny thing is, I *thought* I was a shoo-in for #3 . . . it's the school with the least stringent entrance requirements and the largest class--so I thought it'd be no problem to get in! My point being, you just can't be sure of admissions anywhere--so it's best to have that Plan B, just in case!
Best of luck to you!

HEEEELLLLLLLOOOOO Gracey,
I applied to 3 and only got into 1. Case closed. So, although it is an hour away each way - I am happy

I applied to two, and got into both. Generally I tell people that are applying to college/university to apply to as many programs as you can afford. It's best to keep as many options open. If I could go back to when I was applying to different schools, I would definetely apply to at least 5.

I applied to 4---was accepted at 2, put on the waiting list for 1, and the 4th lost two of my transcripts. Anyway, my point is apply to as many as possible---you really don't know what might happen.
Good luck to you!!!!
