How many people in or considering an Accelerated program?

I currently work at a Magnet Hospital. I was cool with the idea that when I completed my Associate Degeee I leave. I really like where I work and wabt to grow with the hospital.

My issue is I am dirt poor living pay check to pay check. I currently rent $800 a month, hopefully when my fiancé moves in near the end of the year help alleviate some of that. Anyways digress...

Question is the cost freaks me out a bit. Reason planned to do the ADN was cost it's $20K + Prerequisites. The regular 4 year program is about $50K prerequisites and all. The accelerated program is $25K + Prerequisites! Can't beat that it's the cheapest accelerated program in the state with most $40K or more.

I figure with doing my ADN and then a online BSN be same in cost. Doing the Accelerated take off an extra year.

Issue need heakth insurance, but figure I can fall under my fiancé for that when we're married. I plan to save $10K for the program, which I hope to start in 2018.

Now I like to stay 24 hour's, who knows Keeling fingers crossed can find similiar pay 12 hour might shift, but hoping my work can do this...Who knows people can be enticed by this I work a 16 hour power shift every Saturday. Rotate every week Sunday days and Friday evenings. I am hoping that be doable for school. If I stay part time I am alloted $3500!!! From my work.

Also found a few scholarships plan to apply to abd granted $10K in financial aid.

Curious on how you survive and finance your way in an accelerated program?

Go for the accelerated program. 25k is a great price and it will save you time.

I'm in an accelerated program right now. I know a lot of people who work one or two 12 hour shifts a week in my program. One woman works 32 hours on the weekend.

If your job has some flexibility it is better. Mine didn't.

I am running up credit card debt, but I know I will be able to pay it when I graduate in December.

I get about 12,500 per year in student loans, which pays for all but around 1800 per semester.
