Clinicals start at 7am, lecture classes start at 8:30am. We are out (in theory) at 11:45. We have one weekday off per week. Heh, I though I had it rough having to be anywhere outside the house by 7am. :uhoh21:

Whoa. I have 7 am clinicals that require I wake about 5:30, leave home by 6:15; that's about as early as THIS body is going to deal with life!

HA!! I think our clinicals are all starting at 7, cause mine do too!! I live about an hour form clinicals unless i get lucky and get schedules at Jefferson Regional and then it's only 40 minutes. HOWEVER, even though the schedule says 7, the nurseing advisors want us to be there at like 6, so i'm gonna be getting up at 4-4:30!!! One good thing though, i have the day after off and then i go on wed 8-12 and then thur. 10-2....so i guess that's not too bad...Mondays are just gonna suck really bad since I've NEVER had to get up that early in my 19 years of life!!

Clinical at 6:45, one class at 8, others begin at 11. If I get the clinical site near my house, I will get about an extra hour of sleep.

I live an hour and 15 minutes from campus and the hospital. I try to get to clinical at 6:40 or so, so I can check new orders and meds on my patients. So I have to leave the house at 5:20 at the latest or even earlier if the roads are/were snowy. I make sure to shower and everything the night before, so I can just get up, throw on my scrubs, do my bathroom routine and leave.

For lecture days, they usually start around 7:45, but I like to get there a little before that. I leave at 6:20 or so, only because traffic is a little bit heavier than when I leave on clinical days.

What really strikes me as funny, and would irritate me if it affected me, is that my college is literally less than 1 mile from the hospital where I did clinical this semester, and several of my clinical classmates live on campus, but could not make it to clinical on time! They HAVE cars, so it's not like they are waiting for rides or the bus or anything. Plus, I am a divorced mom with 4 kids, so it's not like it's just me to worry about. I can get to class/clinical on time, but these students can't??? I hate to tell them, but it doesn't get any easier and you will really PO the nurse you're supposed to get report from if you're late and he/she can't leave.

I'm done with clinical for this semester, and I'm LOVING the extra two days off per week! Not hearing my alarm this morning was HEAVEN! I slept until 9:30am!! LOL

My clinicals start at 6:45. I try to arrive by 6:30 so I can check orders, put my stuff down, and use the restroom. Class starts at 8:00, I try to get to campus by 7:30 so I can get a good parking place, and mosey on in to class. You never know when you are going to have car trouble.

I live about 70 miles from school one way. Then add about 15 extra minutes to get to the hospital.

My clinicals start at 5:30, so I have to leave my house by 4 am. I usually have to be up by 3 a.m. I am so glad this is just 1 day a week.

Classes next semester are from 10-3 one day and 8-12 the next.....I live 45 mins. away from school......so not too bad.

Class starts at 8am and clinicals start at 6:30am. I am so not a morning person....
