When you are typing a document and for e.g. you want to type 10 to power of 2. You want the number two up in the air. Of let say NA you want to put a positive sign above the A. How do you do that?

We used to that in math classes which I did over the internet. It is imbedded in Word if I remember right but am unsure how to do it...I do remember its called subscript.

If I understand your question correctly...You type both the 10 and the 2, then highlight the 2. Go to the tool bar at the top (in Microsoft Word) and select format font. There will be a small box that you can check for 'superscript'. When you get back to your page the 2 will be much smaller and above the 10. Hope that helps.

Subscript will be below the original number and superscript above. Be careful on this however because if the number is at the end of the sentence, your period will also be moved. Sometimes it can be tricky to get it fixed. Just play with it.
