Hi I just got my acceptance letter to a BSN program.

I've been lurking all semester as I finished up 5 prerequisites.

:balloons: :balloons:

I received my acceptance letter yesterday. So this fall I get to quite my job and drive an hour to school- when clinicals start many of them should be closer to home.

My biggest concern is paying for childcare for my 4 children- ages 8,6,3 & 2 at the time. If nothing else, I hope for some loans. Being a single mom sucks but it did give me the push to go back to school. In my previous college experience I was in a BS/MS Physical Therapy program so I've always known I would work in the allied health field.

I am also hoping to sit for the Lactation Consultant Certification Exam right before graduation- but I have no idea yet how I'll fit that into my nursing job. But I am hugely relieved that my first college experience wasn't a huge waste of money and actually applied to all my prereq. work- that has been my biggest regret about leaving it the first time.

I look forward to spending the next semesters with you all even if I don't post a bunch.

Welcome to the website. Best wishes to you. Congrats on being accepted into the nursing program. Single mom with four kids you should get plenty of loans and grants too. Good luck!

Wow, congrats on getting in!

I only have 2 children that require childcare, so I use loan money for some of it. Good luck to you!
