If your nursing school requires you to pass a HESI test for graduation, how many retakes are you allowed? Do you have to do any remediation before retakes? Thanks!

My ADN program allows 2 HESIs. After that you need to come back and pass the NCLEX with an 85%. I'm not sure about those details......

The NCLEX exam is only graded with pass or fail, there is no numerical result assigned to your scoring. So there is no way to know what you actually scored. The exam is not designed that way, all that test pass 50% of the questions, meaning that you will get 50% correct, and 50% incorrect. The important thing is the level at which you are answering the questions correctly.

Most programs that I am aware of that use the exit HESI, give three chances to pass it before anything else needs to be done.

Yup, we can take it 3 times. Fail the third time, and you have to repeat your last semester. We need an 850. We also take the HESIs as we go for each class, and the percentile score is part of our grade (20-40%) so it's difficult to get to last semester without being reasonably proficient at HESIs.

Yes my school requires HESI to graduate; you only get 2 chances to pass it (used to be 3 but they just changed it this semester which is so NOT fair, but that's another story that I won't go on about); need an 850 to pass; and no there's no remediation before the retake.
