Good afternoon all. I am in OB and Pediatrics this semester and was wondering if anyone has any snazzy way of memorizing facts from these two fields of practice? Or web sites that I could go to? My brain is on overload this summer and jingles, etc. help me a great deal. Thanks for your time and attention.

ob and peds...ugh. The only way I remembered my way through it was to do a TON of NCLEX questions and try to pay attention in class. Seriously, there was so much info in OB, but it was all related to prebirth, during birth and postpartum.
Peds was a very small part of the class.....just pay attention..

Hi. I think I have the web site that might be of interest to you.
www.medicalmnemonics.com
For example: Antibiotics contraindicated during pregnancy:
MCAT
Metronidazol
Chloramphenicol
Aminoglycoside
Tetracycline
or how about this one:
Patent ductus arteriosus: Treatment:
"Come IN and Close the door"
Indomethacin is used to CLOSE PDA
If I remember any more web sites I will post them
Good Luck!

Thanks for the links! I think that they'll be so helpful!
This summer I have nursing school, BUT I have to read the whole Maternal/OB book before the last year of school begins. Ugh.
