Has anyone else heard from hrsa ?

Hi,

I was wondering has anyone else heard from hrsa regarding there scholarship application I know they said they would notify everyone by the 30th but I am thinking if I have not heard by now then I should not get my hopes up.Then the online application site says all who will receive the schoalrship will be notified by the end of Sep. and all who will not will receive letters in mid October so I am so confused now. I know one other person on her has received the scholarship. I wish there was a number where they would simply give us the info. b/c 5 months is way too long to wait on this kind of information when most scholarships are awarded before school actually begins. I keep praying though.

I called today and they said that those who are getting the scholarship will hear by the first week of Oct at the latest and the rest will get notification after the second week of oct. We will see. I am waiting also.... Good luck...

I called this morning and talked to a lady @ 301-443-2153 and she was able to tell me over the phone wether or not I got it. Unfortunately I did not and she said they only awarded 120 scholarships and to apply again next year. I think not b/c this was way too long to wait. I have missed other opportunites waiting on the results from this one.

Have any of you figured out where you would have to work if you got it? Especially around the New Orleans area? I dont know of any places considered RN understaffed. Thanks!

I was told almost all hospitals are considered understaffed. I did get a list of approved sites in LA from them, but I don't remember what they are off hand.
