I'm feeling great :rotfl: :chuckle ...(now) One of my friends failed this semester and it floored me for awhile. I talked to her and she's happy for me. She plans on applying to another school.

As for me I will be enjoying my summer. She and I have made plans to get togehter over the summer and hang out. I'm kind of anxious about starting school again though. This last semester was hard. I hated pharmacology and was failing it at midterm. All those drugs, side effects and speacial diets were getting to me. Luckily I pulled my grade up to a C. ( C=RN doesnt it:) ) I did enjoy clinicals and my psych and OB classes. Fall semester was stressful with all the checkoffs, dosage calculation exams, lectures and tests, but my study group and I still managed to have fun. Next semester we get to do more med-surg and OR. I still can't believe I made it this far.

MAY 2006 HERE I COME!!!!!!

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT GOING INTO YOUR SECOND YEAR!

HOW WAS YOUR FIRST YEAR?

How do I feel going into my second year, in one easy word. relieved. We just had our second semester final on tuesday. And wont know how everyone else did until the dust settles.

We have pharmacology this summer, so only about 3 weeks off before school starts again. And the class will be seperated into 3 classes so will take a while to see who wont be around for second year. Just hope that those who failed second semester keep their focus and come back next year.

I have 2 sem. to go hope to graduate in May 2006. The first sem. was very stressful b/c I hated checkoffs. Second sem. was a little easier but we went so fast that it was hard to stay on top of all of the material. I passed and am very happy to be going into sr. year. I have OB and Peds in the fall and Med surg III in spring 06. I think I am defintely going to work harder doing my sr. year b/c I am too close to fail now. I feel blessed to make it this far. I am working as a tech this summer in a VA hospital so I am really hoping this experience will motivate me even farther to work harder to complete my sr. year.

Good luck. How was it for everyone else?

I just finshed my 1st year of my BSN. You guys sure sound like your having a lot more fun than I am (class info-wise). My schools insists that I take 5 classes a semester, and that is not including labs and discussions. Next semester will be my first nursing classes. Up until now it was everything from Math to phil. Man, I just want to be done! 6 semesters to go.

I too am happy the 1st year is over! I loved psych, ob not my thing but I did have a very good instructor.Fundamentals was intresting & pharm hard! Micro just about killed me & thank goodness its over.I received an academic award & I still can't believe it.We start back to school in mid August with med surg, I also have to take biomedical ethics. I have heard both of these instructors are brutal :crying2:. The best part for me........ clinicals. We have lost some people each semester & I really feel for them. The first semester in med surg is where this year's senior class lost so many & I am a little nervous.Good luck to everybody & I hope in May 2006 we are talking about graduation!

I am glad that the first half is over (well...almost; final is on 5/23!) I was not a big fan of med-surg this semester and look forward to September when we get 1/2 semester maternity and 1/2 semester psych. Then another semester med-surg and GRADUATION!

No one has failed out of the program at all this semester but like I said, the final ain't done yet. FIrst semester I think we went from 99 to 87 or something like that.

We don't have specific classes in pharmacology, terminology, and some of the others I've heard of. Just pretty much straight-up lecture/lab classes and the sciences.

This semester, I took first class of my ADN program here in NYC. It was very hectic for me. Considering that I was also taking AP2 on Saturdays. It's almost over thank God. I received an A. But I have my nursing final to take next week, can't wait to get that over with because this semester was CRAZY. I battling whether or not I should take MICRO in the summer or in the Fall. The best thing about this semester is that I'm glad that I won't have to take class with some of my "think who know it all, STUCK UP CLASSMATES".

It is sad the way some of these students beg for A's, battle questions when they get them wrong. I wish that I don't have to deal with some of these people down the line.
