I know I have this problem with imagining the future. Now, since my current fascination is nursing school, I am imagining myself there. I know my ideas of what it is like and the reality will be totally different. So, my question to all of you: Was the reality of your nursing classes the same as your imagination or a slap in the face type of different?

I thought it was really cool! I was scared but I'm a "professional student" LOL so I kind of knew what to expect. It was cool though because we are a small class (11 students and 2 teachers) so that was good. We all "meshed" well together so that was really good!
I'm now thinking about what next term will be like!

It is basically what I expected, but I haven't started clinicals yet so I didn't vote. I'll get back to ya

Lecture was a lot more lackluster that I expected, the first couple semesters.
I worked a lot at not falling asleep! This coming year I hope they kick things up a little.
Clinicals were pretty much what I expected. No problem staying awake there! :chuckle

I was feeling overwhelmed by all the meshing. Toward the end of the first semester, I felt like I had a thether attached to my instructor on one end, and my fellow clinical students on the other.
The lecture auditorium has become so familiar to me, I can picture where every speaker, every piece of AV equipment and virtually every speck of dust resides. It's a gosh-darned fishbowl! It's a love/hate thing and I woudn't trade it for any other experience in the world.
