Drug cards

Hey guys. I don't actually start pharmacology until this spring. And I guess I'm weird or just nervous before nursing school starts next week, but I started trying to memorize a drug every few days. I have 3 so far digoxin, lisinopril, and acetylcysteine. What I memorized is mechanism of action, what to watch out for with side effects or before administering (like for digoxin I wrote must check apical pulse is not less than 60, that I read online), what problems they're used to treat, and pregnancy risk. Is this a good idea? I made my own cards for them. I'm sure I might give it up once classes and new job etc begin haha but I'd like to still do it... anything I need to add and any very important drugs or ones students should know to suggest please? Thank you.

You may find it easier to study meds in classes instead of randomly- might make it easier to retain information (like generic beta blocker names all end in -lol) You can also check out this thread for someone who shared a lot of their hard work with drug cards.
