Dosage calculations test

I just failed my dosage calculations test today and I am really upset about it. You have to get 90% to pass and you get 3 chances , otherwise you are kicked out of nursing school. I know I have 2 more chances but it is still very upseting. I really studied hard for this test because I have trouble with math and I still wasn't able to pass it.

KM,

How bad did you fail it? Did you just make some stupid mistakes, or are there some problems you just don't get? I'm sure your teacher let you look at your test to see what you did, that way you know what you have problems with. Study those areas that you had problems with, and if you need help in certain areas, don't be afraid to ask someone, sometimes they may have a better method. The next time you take your test I'm sure you will pass! Good Luck!

ooh no!! where r u frm??

Ok I know how you feel and have been there. At my school you have to get a 91 and have 2 chances, so when I failed this semester's test (I'm a senior), I was totally freaked. But I got some more study questions from my teachers and went to them for some help and it worked. Just don't freak out...you have 2 more tries...just get some extra help and you will be fine!

KM-

I'm pretty good with dosage calculations; if you would like some help from me, just drop me an email. I may have been taught a different way than you were, and that may help you. Just let me know!

Hey I did the same thing I also failed the math test once by 5% and once by 1% but they were all stupid mistakes. I am good at math and have a DEC in science. What I found that helped was write your units in on both sides of the equal sign and cancel them out in your formula so they both balance. Also highlight what your looking for. When I did all that I managed to get 100% Best of luck :)

I wouldn't want to be the patient receiving the drug you miscalculated. High scores are set for a reason - patient safety.
