crossing the line professionally

  1. I want to know if you think that there is anything wrong with becoming personally involved with a client? What are some signs that someone is too personal with a client? And how can we maintain professional relationships with clients and not become involved with them? I just need some feedback for a school assignment...

These are broad questions. Are you doing research for a school assignment, or asking for yourself?
In either case, a scenario would be helpful.

If you get to close you lose your objectivity. That impedes care.

Can you give us some more info? I think that if one was personally involved, the touching may be more or even inappropriate.,the voice softer, the eyes lingering...care would maybe decline or be prolonged to spend more time with the person etc.Other clients may be ignored or given inadequate care. Body language speaks volumes
