I have been interested in forensic sciences since I would about 7 years old. I have been reading a lot about Forensic Nursing this past week and it sounds right up my alley. Where I live we have a Masters of Forensic Nursing offered here at a nearby university...supposed to be an excellent program.
I saw the Forensic Nursing forum on here but no one ever goes there so I thought I would ask here and see.

I have never really thought much about forensic nursing, but it is indeed an interesting field. Are you going to pursue it?

I'm so interested in all to do with forensics. As my job to get through school I work for the police department in my city and I absolutely love it. My favorite cases are some of psych/suicidal people that get transported to the hospital. I am addicted to all the forensic crime shows and I often end up watching them instead of doing my homework! I know I definitely want to work in the ED, but I still am very interested in forensics. It's just that I hear it's so hard to get into, which is somewhat discouraging. I could imagine getting burnt out doing that as well.

I'd love to go into forensic nursing. Around here though, they're mostly used in prisons and that's not what I'm looking for. A school in our area just opened a master's level program for forensic nursing, so maybe the market will pick up.
