Received my 3rd A&P exam back this evening. I did not even look at it until I got home because I had a lab exam and could not let the stress get to me. I got another 59%. I just can't seem to do better, do not know why. My niece (who is 10 yrs younder than I) is also in the same class and got a 99%. She seems to just wiz through this stuff which makes it harder for me. Talking with other classmates, I found that I am not the only one doing bad, I talked with one girl this evening and she had a 54%. With my lab scores combined, I am at a 70% and hopefully I can maintain that and I will be doing the happy dance. I am not too proud that a C would disappoint me. Someone told me to remember that a C means "continue", so that is what I am sticking to.

I have a 85% in Health Assessment so far and will take my mid-term on Monday for my Intro to Nursing course. Hopefully that will go well for me. I finished my Psychology and received a A.

I think it is just A&P, I will just have to live with it and move on.

Thanks for listening.

Debi, I'm glad you are hanging in there, don't give up! It was tough for me too, a lot of memorization, especially if you are taking a lot of other classes. Once you pass it, everything will come together as you move on to other classes.

Sometimes people learn different ways so if lets say 90% of your classroom learning is by hearing and you are a visual learner you have difficulty retaining it. Does that make sense? I know I am an auditory learner so when I went to class I taped my lectures. I replayed the tapes and other than briefing my notes I did 99% of my learning that way. I listened to the tapes at night before going to bed as well. Do you think taping the lectures would help? Try to think about what type of learner you are. I have done lots of educational programs and try to figure that out beforehand so I can target the audience better and I try to mix the presentation to some auditory and some visual aids.

Let me know what you think?

Hey,

Listen we all have that one class that no matter how we try we can't seem to make the grade. For me it's Theology/Philosophy... I'm sorry but I just don't get it... So don't feel too bad.

To me a C means more than continue. It means you understand the material.
