32 days and counting, Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

i never thought that my countdown would ever start to seem close to an end. i have 32 days before my last day of nursing school. i started with 608 days in jan 2010. i keep typing list to make sure that all school work is done, board of nursing apps completed, nclex, registered for review class. i suppose my ocd is kicking in because im going crazy with anxiety which normally i would never admit. i have started applying for jobs at the different hospital systems in my town. i have sent in my obn app and paid for my nclex. :eek: i just want to tell other students is that time will fly by. you may be having a hard time this quarter/semester but it will pass. i had quarters...2 exactly (3rd and 5th)..that i needed encourgement. i went from giving help to being the one that needed help, i moved back home because i could not afford to live by myself. i cried :crying2: because of my life situation and laughed :lol2: because i have met people that have hopefully become life-long friends. thankfully i had a wonderful teacher (my 2nd qtr teacher) that gave encouraging words everytime she saw i "wasn't me." she hugs me everytime she sees me. you can accomplish your dream...day by day. i see the light at the end of the tunnel. on august 26, 2011 i will get my nursing pin!!!!!!

That's the day I'll start too. Well - my first in person class starts on the 30th but my online classes will begin the 29th.

congrats on almost finishing! i am done in a few weeks, too. but how did you apply and pay for the nclex already? i was under the impression that we had to wait until school was finished to do that? please advise!

I went on the OBN site printed out the app and with NCLEX you can pay for it ahead of time. Pearsons will send you acknowledgement. The board app here in Ohio, can take up to 6 weeks for them to accept it. I rather do my 6 weeks while in school not after I graduate and I am ready to take the NCLEX. If you wait like one of the girls that I work with...She graduated May 5 and still hasn't taken her NCLEX.

My college pretty much handed us a paper then said they didn't have time to explain it. So I called some recent grads and asked them. They all said that they did it about 6 weeks before they graduated. One had her ATT number within 2 weeks and took the test the same week.
