Hey guys! So I just joined allnurses, but I have been watching the forums for the UF BSN Admissions for a while. I realized there is not an active one yet for 2015 and I would like to get it started! I know we all are anxious still from letting go of our applications April 5 and now we are waiting until June to hear the results! I am currently a UF student and I am really hoping to get into this fantastic program. I hope to attract students that were previously accepted to hear what they have to say about the admissions process and the program itself! Essentially, I wanted a place where I could discuss my nervousness with people that understand! (Plus, I know everyone is curious as to what caliber of students we are facing this year as well!!)

Who else out there applied for Fall 2015?

Who else out there applied for Fall 2015?

I'm a current UF student and also applied to their Generic BSN program for Fall 2015! I'm also anxious about the letters. I'm mostly nervous about my stats (3.71 overall, 3.66 preprof.) :/

I'm super nervous as well! Mostly because of my cumulative GPA because when I was working on classes for a backup major.. I realized I did not like them at all. Therefore my cum is 3.54, but my preprofessional is a 3.79. I hope this is good enough to get in!:/

I just wanted to say that I just graduated from UF's College of Nursing in May of 2015. It was a wonderful experience and I had a job offer before I graduated. I actually had a 4.0 GPA upon applying to nursing school. Good luck to all of you and Go Gators!

I get more anxious as the end of the month approaches. It's a little strange that NOBODY is posting on here this year, except for the accelerated program, and that makes me feel even more nervous :/ Previous years had so many posts.

I noticed that as well! I just found out about this forum though, so I guess the others that applied just haven't heard about it either!

And I know, now that it's June it's so real that we're finding out soon! I just am ready to know haha

Yeah I can't believe no one else had made a post on here! I don't know if that means they aren't worried about getting in or if no one cares this year??? Do any of you know exactly when we are supposed to hear by? I would like to start calling and asking but I don't want to be annoying lol

I think the norm is to hear back around the 3rd or 4th week of June, but there's no harm in calling and asking for an update! I know there's still a chance that we could be finding out via email rather than snail mail so if that happens maybe we'll find out sooner!

Ugh that seems so long! I wish they could give us a date and say that's when they letters get sent out so we know when to look :/ I'll try to call before the end of the week and see what they say. I'll definitely ask if they are willing to email us this year as well! Let me know if you guys try to call too :)

I asked Ken about the emailing this past weekend and he got back to me Monday that he wanted to still email! :) I didn't ask about a date though. So yes please let us know!
