Title says it all: If you work 5 8h night shifts in a row, how do you manage to flip back to a regular schedule for your 2 days off? If I am offered this job, my work week essentially will be Monday night to Saturday morning.

I have 2 younger children, so maintaining the same sleeping schedule during the weekend isn't really ideal for me...

I worked the same schedule back in the day. Most people just sleep a few hours and then get up on Saturday. Stay up and then sleep at night. Up all Sunday sleep at night. Up most of Monday, but a good nap prior to going to work.

It's tough because you feel tired, especially on Saturday. When I worked that schedule I wanted to be up on Sunday for church and after church lunch with friends. Not having kids what happened was I would wind up taking a series of long naps from Saturday to Monday night.

Good luck!

Thanks :heartbeat

I work 12 hour shifts, 7p-7a. Some days I'll stay up all day on my "day off", other times I nap a couple hours after work and then get up. Midnight shift is hard on your body. I think you age faster too. :)
