Thoughts....could you or would you want to leave the bedside to work at home?

I actually worked in my pj's today...too gloomy out to get dressed. I have worked from home for 5 years. Several days a week I do go out to do home visits or go to meetings. It's funny though, I tend to skip lunch more when I am in my office at home then when I am on the road. I just get so busy at my desk and sometimes I will suddenly realize I have not even gotten up from my chair in several hours!!! The flexibility is nice, though I do not have school age children like a lot of coworkers so, but they can still pick them up and such from school.

I work for an insurance company by the way. I don't know how I would ever have a normal full time job. I can't drive in the dark, it's like my vision goes blind. Makes it pretty impossible to have a full time job where u don't have to drive in the dark either in the morning or evening. So I guess I will just keep working from home as long as possible.

I love working from home. Wouldn't want to go back to bedside nursing.

I will be transitioning to working from home this year and I can't wait! I feel that I have done everything I wanted to in nursing- ICU, ED, cath lab and am officially cured of my former adrenaline junkie ways! I am looking forward to not having to drive on icy, snowy and unplowed roads at zero dark 30!!
