Nurses General Nursing

Recently my facility was sold to a new ownership group. This happened pretty quickly. So quickly in fact, that there wasn't even time for me to start any rumors about the upcoming sale. Alas, with the new owners there came new owner type changes. A large minority of the staff was let go, including CNAs, CMAs, many nurses and various supporting staff. And of course, I am amongst them.

I now must venture into the land of the job hunt. Through the years I have found and firmly believe, that internet jobs boards are a waste of time. Therefore, I will eschew them. Instead, once again I will pull up my resume, put my game face on and go pound the pavement looking for that next lucky employer who will be granted the use of my services. This then, is the inquiry I make of all you more experienced nurses. For tonight only; given a similar set of circumstances, which would you go with, Shiner Bock or Michelob Dark?

Specializes in ICU/ER.

I'd have to say...in your position...neither. Both remind me of what we dump out of urinals/catheter bags (amount of head on the top, of course, varies on degree of renal failure). In your position? I recommend a nice Moscato d'Asti...live a little, the bubbles will be a nice treat and you'll be giggling like a patient loaded on versed & fentanyl before you know what hit you.

Best of luck in your job hunt!! :inlove:
