I started my pre-reqs when I was 2 months pregnant. I didn't take clinicals at the time but it was very uncomfortable toward the end of my pregnancy because it was the middle of winter and the heat in the building was killing me:o I went to the ob the day before end of semester and she stretched me to a 5 which put me into labor the day of finals :uhoh21:

I stayed and took my tests and had the baby the night before first clinicals. I had to take 6 weeks off from clinicals but I returned to class the following week. I had a very uneventful delivery and felt there was really no reason to stay home and end up behind. If I had to do it again I would do the same way.

I began my BSN program when I was 3 months pregnant. I was very tired all the time but with lots of prayer and an encouraging husband I made it through. I continued to work part time to help make ends meet. I have to say that being pregnant while in nursing school was a lot easier than having a newborn while in nursing school. I returned to school 5 weeks after giving birth to my son and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do! But, I made it and I will be graduating next month. Just stay positive and stay focused!
