My boyfriend of 4 years just found out that he has Varicocele of a testicle. I'm not really familiar with the condition, but did a little research online. Has anyone ever seen this and what does it mean as far as fertility goes?

dilated varicose veins in the spermatic cord due to incompetent valves. Most often on the left side, may show bluish color through scrotal skin. It is common in young males. Important to screen at early adolescence; early treatment important to prevent potential infertility. Treatment is relatively easy; surgical ligation of spermatic vein.
