Hi. I'm new here and to say that I have been stressing lately is an understatment. My visa expires in August and I am currently in Arizona. Rather than fly to the Canadian border, I will attempt to renew my visa at the Mexican/USA border. Anyone have any problems doing so? Any pointers or tips for crossing over from mexico. I am so nervous!!!

Do you have your visa screen done? I really don't see why it would make a difference where you renew your visa, since US immigration/customs is US immigration/customs no matter where they are. Have you called and asked them?

yes i have my visa screen and all my documents. i thought the same thing, customs are customs no matter where you enter. i have just heard to be more 'weary' at the mexican border. just nerves i suppose. do u think it would be ok to go a week before my visa expires to allow extra time for any delays? thanks for the reply

I have no idea, why don't you just call their 1-800 number and ask? I can't see why it would be a problem.
