Think I failed my phone interview

Hi everyone,

I just had a phone interview and I don't think it went well. The guy seemed happy with my responses but I don't feel good about it because he did not ask me to come in for an in person interview after it was over. I applied to several positions at the hospital and he said he would forward my application and interview answers to another recruiter who works more closely with the hiring manger and they may call and set up an interview. I was a really short interview. I was told have 30mins available but it only took 15mins. My question is did any of you guys get set up for an in person interview right after a phone interview or did you hear back at a later time?

Thanks

I'm starting a new job tomorrow that required a phone interview as the first step. They also told me to be available for 30 minutes. It lasted just under 30 minutes, and that included my long answers and many questions. I think the 30 mins is just a cushion just in case you talk their ear off like I did.

I was also told that an in-person interview would be scheduled once the hiring manager has reviewed my resume and phone interview answers. 2 whole weeks passed by before I worked up the courage to call the recruiter to follow up. Sure enough, he had my name on a list and said he was actually going to start scheduling interviews that week. Follow up with the interviewer. If anything, itll show them you really are interested in the position. Good luck!

Each time I had a phone interview, the HR person called me back within the week to schedule; most forward applications to the management and if they are interested, will request to interview the candidate.

If it takes longer than a week, call or email the person who interviewed you to see what is happening in the process.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a few more days. Hopefully I'll her something back. If not, I will try to follow up with the recruiter. Thanks again.
