Teaching IV insertion, Providing certification

I am an RN from New York. I moved to California recently. I was wondering if anybody knows how I can teach IV insertion classes and provide certification. Thank you!

Well, are you an Infusion specialist? Do you have your VA-BC or CRNI credentials? If not that is where I'd start. If so, I would contact your schools of nursing or pharmacies, as they often employ RN's to teach IVT.

Also, look up the definition of "certification." It's more than, "I took a course and here's the certificate I got after I took their test." That's not certification.

Short answer: you can't offer certification without a lot more than willingness and ability to teach a continuing ed offering.

Also CA has requirements for who can teach CEUs and how an individual can apply for the ability to offer them. CA BoN can help you c that.
