A step backwards: Are you seeing this too?

In the hospital where I work they will no longer post any week-end only or weekday only positions. As people leave a position everything is going back to every other weekend. Are you seeing this in your part of the country?

We still have the weekend program at my hospital. They recently replaced the second day shift weekend position that had been vacated for 9 months. It pays $8 more per hour which is pretty good in my part of the USA.

Here, its every other weekend UNLESS you are a favorite butt kisser of the scheduling nurse. Then, you never have to work a weekend. But if not, its every other weekend and NO extra pay....
