Should I dress up?

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hi all,

I have been on the job hunt for a while now, looking for pediatric and NICU positions.

Well the hospital I work for just posted a per-diem pediatric position which I would love, as I am in the same hospital's ED working per-diem, but I LOVE caring for children, but I have had enough of ED nursing an am ready to move on!

Anywho... I emailed the nurse manager of the unit and am suppose to meet with her next week "informally", do you think I should still dress up as if it was an interview? Or would nicer slacks and non-sneakers be ok? I have to go get my flu shot, TB Test, and fit test before I meet her :nailbiting: so I may be in tears... Thanks

IMO, unless the NM told you to pop into her office in the next 5 minutes to chat about this opportunity, you should dress your best for ANY interview no matter how "informal" it may seem.

Best of luck!

Have a peer interview scheduled next week.. so I am hoping!! Thanks everyone for the advice!
