Seattle's east side pay rate

I'm sorry in advance for seeming obtuse. I've been searching the previous threads for a while now and could now quite find the exact information I have been looking for. I have also noticed that there have been a quite a few "salary" threads posted on here in recent weeks and I hate to add another to the mix.

I am about to graduate with my BSN this semester and am confused as to what is the going rate for new grads on Seattle's east side (Kirkland, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Redmond, Issaquah, & Sammamish in particular). I have been asking all my colleges in my cohort but no one seems to know or care. When I asked my professors they seem to avoid answering.

I just want to know what to expect. It has been mentioned on this site that Seattle does poorly in matching the salary to the price of living costs, so I'll be prepared to brace myself. I met a new grade recently during clinical one day and politely inquired about what the starting rate was at my desired hospital and he refused to answer.

Again, sorry for seeming obtuse! I've tried asking (when it seemed socially acceptable) new grads but they all brush over my question or provide a semi answer.

Here is the current union agreement for Evergreen Hospital. Other hospitals on the Eastside are similar, depending on where they are in terms of the current union agreement. The compensation section starts on page 13, and you can see that a new nurse with less than one year of experience starts at a base rate of $ 30.17.

WSNA and SEIU 1199 are the two major nursing unions here in Washington, and they post their union agreements with the various hospitals on their websites. This is the best place to look for base salary rates.

Thank you for taking your time to post that, it was very helpful! It also answered many of my questions in other areas :)
