Rn applying for Lpn position.

Is there anyone on here who is an Rn working in an Lpn position(meaning getting paid as an Lpn,but job title still the same)?

There is this correctional facility down the road from me and it has an ad in my local paper for Lpn's.

It is a field I'm interested in,and also I want to try to expand my work experiences.

I haven't really left Peds home health since graduating 10 yrs ago. I did work ltc as an lpn,but I have not been successful in securing employment in other specialties as an Rn.

My Lpn license is not active at this time.

Not willing to pay the money to restore the lpn license, because as I recall on reading old posts on this subject, you still get held to the higher standard.

Some posts on here made me feel as if I should try to branch out to other specialties, but as I said,I don't think that's happening with the approach I have now.I've been trying for 7 yrs with no luck.

So,something has to give, even if its hourly pay. I understand I might drop in hourly pay by as much as $6 dollars(from $30 to $22) if I do get employed in the lpn capacity.
