Relocating to Dallas,TX

Nurses General Nursing

Hello,

I am planning on relocated to the Dallas area from Phoenix. I am a nurse manager and I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on which hospitals are good to work for with good benefits and pay? What areas are good to live in? Thanks

The suburbs north of Dallas (Carrollton, Richardson, Farmers Branch, Plano, Frisco, Allen) are considered desirable. You'll pay more to live in Plano, Frisco or Allen than the others.

The local hospital systems include Texas Health Resources, Baylor Scott & White, Methodist Health, Tenet, and a few others. Parkland is public hospital for Dallas County.

How about the work conditions of those hospitals you just named? Also would you have any idea about their pay scale for nurse managers and nurse directors?

The working conditions are said to be decent (for Texas standards).

I have no idea what these hospital systems pay nurse managers, directors and chief nursing officers. However, expect it to be significantly less than what you'd earn in Phoenix.
