So. . .I have accepted a new job and in a couple of months I will leave the relative calm of acute rehab and return to the insanity of a very very busy neuro-tele floor. I have to admit, I am a bit nervous. I used to work neuro-tele and I recall the craziness, the fast pace, the acuity, and I wonder how I will ever get used to it again? I have been away from tele for 2 years, away from that fast pace for 2 years, away from constant IVs and tests and orders for 2 years. . .my new director wants me to hit the floor running after 2 weeks of orientation (which is totally fair). . .

ack ack! what to do? how to prepare?

I hope I am up for this. . .

You'll pick it up again. Like riding a bike....a bike that every so often falls apart mid ride and flings you into traffic.

But still - like riding a bike.

Dont worry about it, you will be fine. You have the skills, but need to fine tune them on your orientation. Have no fear.
