Quadriplegia Question

I'm a new grad RN working on a case study for an internship. The patient in the fictional case study is a quadriplegic presenting to the ED with multiple sxs, one of which is LUQ pain. Forgive me for what is likely a stupid question.... Are quadriplegics able to feel visceral pain?

Good question, it doesn't specify. I'm assuming then that a complete injury will = not able to feel visceral pain, and an incomplete injury would leave open the possibility?

Did you ever see the documentary "Murderball"? They played a game that looked similar to wheelchair basketball but more physical. Well, the majority of the guys on the team were incomplete quads. So not only can they have sensation but they can also good use/control of their upper bodies.
