I would like to know the answer to this too!

Define "goes well": if you mean "is effective with" then your generic safety glasses that wrap around and over the glasses should be fine, but if you mean "looks good with" then you're probably SOL.

Yep, that's about the answer!

You could also check out sporting goods and outdoor equipment stores. A serious optometrist might also have something.

I don't much mind how I look but wearing two pairs of frames is uncomfortable and as they begin to slip I have visions of them slipping into a sterile field!!!

A friend of mine who works in the OR takes off her glasses and uses contacts during surgery because she's got what she calls her "blast shield" over her face.

I wear glasses instead of my contacts on the floor, and I've got the super dupper dang near unbreakable, dang near unaffordable, oversized lenses. Can't tell you how many times I've been glad, especially when a pt decides to sneeze their brains out just as I'm bending down to listen to heart sounds....

you can buy RX safety glasses. they have the rx lenses in them so you only have one pair of glasses on. The Trauma doc that I know that has them said they are expensive but if you need them all the time or most of the time (RE OR, Traumas, EMS, etc) then it is worth the investment and you can use your cafeteria plan for them too! Hope this helps.
