I am a RN, and currently a student at Walden University for my MSN with a specialty in nursing education. I have an immediate need to find a preceptor for my practicum experience. The person that agreed has backed out at the last minute. The preceptor must be a advanced practice nurse, PA or Doctor. I live in Miramar, FL. Anyone that can be of assistance in the Miami Dade or Broward County area, please contact me at [email protected]

Specializes in ER.

Why do you have to follow an NP or PA for the education track vs an Educator? Just curious, I'm in the education track as well but a different school and my practicum will be following an instructor for a BSN program and giving a couple of lectures.

Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

By Doctor do you mean a physician? I also don't get why/how precepting with a PA or MD would prepare one for a nurse educator role.

Yes, curious. Why wouldn't you be looking to precept with an educator?
