Pierce College Puyallup Nursing Program

Nurses General Nursing

I'm considering applying to the Pierce College nursing program in Puyallup and also Tacoma Community College. Does anyone have any insight as to the strengths and weaknesses of either one? TCC has a really simple, straightforward application process, and the application process at Pierce College intimidates me. It seems as if there are so many different elements that are considered by Pierce College, and I understand that there's an interview involved along with a proctored essay question? Those things are enough to dissuade me, so I'd like to know if it's even worth trying for Pierce College.

Not familiar with those programs, but a proctored essay exam would intimidate me also. I would concentrate on the program with the easier application process but still do the other one too. Good luck.

My aunt is a professor of nursing in Pierce college, I must say...Even I as her own niece gets so scared of her. Haha. But their passing rate I guess is very high...

Most of the profs are really good.

I have no idea with tacoma. sorry.

The students at Tacoma Community College do clinicals at the hospital where I work. These students are well prepared and have good instructors. Also very high NCLEX pass rate there. I don't know much about Pierce but don't let the application process stop you. It dosen't hurt to try! Whats the worst that could happen? They deny you and you try again next year...go for it.
