New year, New Feedback.

DNP versus PhD ? That decision has been made. I'm going for my PhD and would like to do something in education, but I'm open to other options. I need help in picking a school.

So....I'm looking for some honest and recent feedback on the following questions:

1. Where are you or a friend or a colloague completing their PhD ?

2. What concentration?

3. What do you like about the program ?

4. What do you dislike about the program ?

5. Any thoughts on the faculty mentors/dissertation help?

Before applying to PhD programs, you should have pretty clear idea of what your research interests are (schools will expect this of applicants). You will need to apply to schools with faculty who share those interests, as you will need to have faculty mentors who are working in your same area of interest. The best way to start identifying possible schools, for a lot of people, is to figure out who the top nursing researchers are in your specific area of interest, and identify what schools they are at.
