Peptic Ulcer and Strep Throat

I went to the ER this weekend after experiencing epigastric pain. I was told that it is possibly due to a peptic ulcer and was given a referral for an EGD to confirm. I set up the appointment yesterday morning to go in this wednesday, but now I am worried that I may be coming down with strep throat (hubby just got over this a week ago). I'm going to my doc to find out if that is really the case, but if so, do I need to reschedule my EGD? I was really hoping to get this done before Thanksgiving but can see where it might be problematic now.

I'm sorry but this is really something we can't answer. Your best bet is contact your GI MD this am. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for the response :) I will definately contact the facility where I set up the appointment, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this and knew how it would go, one way or the other. Just up early this morning feeling not so hot and letting curiosity and impatience get the best of me.

Well, we cannot answer that. Please contact your PCP today.

Hope you feel better soon.
