Nursing School Interview- Please Help!

I doubt there's anything for you to review. The interviewer will typically be the nursing program director, assistant dean, or some 'poohbah' titled official. They basically want to get a sense of your presence or lack of interpersonal skills, realism, problem-solving abilities, moral and ethical fabric, and conflict resolution. Here are some potential questions you might be asked during the interview:

1. Why do you want to become a nurse?

2. What are some of your hobbies or passions?

3. If you see a classmate stealing, what would you do?

4. A nurse at a clinical site is acting unethically. What would you do?

5. What are your personal strengths?

6. What are your personal weaknesses?

7. What would your previous bosses or classmates say about you?

8. Why do you want to be admitted into our nursing program?

9. What would you do if you find yourself struggling in a nursing course?

10. What would you do if you have a conflict with a professor?

11. Tell us why you'd be the best candidate for our nursing program.

12. Do you have any questions for us?

13. What is your proudest achievement to date?

14. What qualities do you think a good nurse should possess?

15. What would you do if a patient threatens you?

My nursing school entry depended on 3 factors. 50% GPA, 25% personality test, 25 % on the interview.

During the interview, I answered all questions with humility, and stressed that I wanted to become a nurse to take care of people.

I was just in your shoes a week ago for a LVN progrm. Some interview questions that were asked:

Tell me about yourself

Why do you want to be a nurse?

Have you had a conflict with a boss or teacher and if so, how did you resolve the conflict?

Rate these qualties from most important to least important and why (qualification, get along with others and reliability)

I stressed my commitement for only applying to this school and what I can bring to the school's organization.

The conflict question I said I never had conflict with either and told a story in a positive manner. I stressed how "communication is key in nursing!" The other question I believe was a behavior assessment and the panel said there's no right or wrong answer but more on getting to know us personally.

Hi Everyone,

Just had my interview this morning, I think it went well! The questions were pretty standard (why nursing/why this school/tell me about yourself/etc.). The woman said she thought I would be a good fit! Hopefully that's a good sign.
