Nursing Malpractice insurance?

Nurses General Nursing

What company do you all use? I just got a policy with NSO; have any of you had any experience with them? If so, was it good or bad? What other companies are options, and what sort of experiences have you had with them? When you have purchased a policy, what are you terms, the amounts of potential coverage, and the cost of the policy?

I live in a state where there are no unions, so I can't use that sort of insurance.

Thanks in advance,

Jean

I use NSO as well. I haven't had to operationalize my coverage, thankfully. I would suggest looking at the terms of the policy carefully.

1. How much are you covered for? Per aggregate and lifetime?

2. Will they provide you your own attorney?

3. Will you get paid for time away from work and for travel, if necessary?

4. Look for any special circumstances that they do not cover at all
