NIU FNP Program

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hi, I am a new RN BSN (4months working) on a busy ortho/neuro unit. I am starting the process of applying to the family nurse practitioner (FNP) program at Northern Illinois University (NIU). I was wondering if anyone is in the program, or graduated from the program that can give me some insight on their experiences, and possibly any insight on how to get accepted to the program. Thank you in advance!!! I am really looking forward to starting this new chapter and cannot wait to learn more!

Hello there, and Welcome to Allnurses! We're glad you're here!

I wish I could be of some assistance in answering your questions about the FNP program, but this post will "bump up" your thread so that more people will see it. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for someone who does know about these things to come along and help. But I wanted to respond because we here at AN like to make our new members feel at home as quickly as possible.

Hope you'll look around the site and see all AN has to offer. Enjoy!
