NELRP 2014

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Has anyone started to apply for the Nurse Corps loan repayment program? I wanted to see if anyone is having trouble using the application at all?

When is the last day to find out again? I'm getting so impatient :dummy:

I'm pretty sure when we applied it said we would here back by the end of August. From looking at the forum in the past, it seems like sometimes they will extend it into September, but it seems like the norm is that people find out by the last day of August. The end of September is when funds should be dispersed it sounds like.

I called a few months ago to ask a few general questions- the man who answered said I'd know by the end of October....

Myself (rn) and a coworker (aprn) applied this year.... the point of contact here got a request to verify the aprn's income.... does anyone know if it is likely that the aprn will receive the reward since her income is being verified? Seems to me that it would, but thought I'd ask someone who knows they got it for 2014.

Congrats to all of those who are hearing wonderful things! Has there been any NP's in Tier 1 who have NOT received an award letter yet? I am a staff RN so just trying to figure out if they are still awarding the NP's and Faculty or if they have moved on to staff RN's?

In an earlier post someone asked how awardees were dispersing their award money towards their loans. An RN that I worked with has just finished her 3rd year of loan forgiveness. She had 2 different lenders, as I do, but would pay more on the loan with the least amount of interest so that she could pay it off quicker. Hope this helps...

Hang in there everyone!!!

I am an FNP; tier 2; Ratio probably 2:1. Got my initial email from NELRP to confirm the interest but I am unable to log into my account. I have to call Customer Service and they are still currently working on my account. Anybody got the same problem? I logged into the program portal and they have a pop-up stating "Thank you for your interest. The application cycle has been closed."

You have to change roles in the upper right hand corner after you have logged in.

There is nothing on the upper right corner. It just went to back to the main programportal site with the popup on top.

I've heard of an rn tier 1 debt to income ratio of 133% getting confirmation. Hope that helps.

I received an email saying I was a finalist and my status is "award accepted, under final review". I am curious though - I see many people listed what tier they are in --- where did you find that information?

The table is on page 12 of the application packet.

Have any CRNAs heard anything yet??
