Hi, I'm an LVN in Houston, TX and I'm currently working as float pool at my hospital, so I do not receive medical benefits. I'm wondering if anyone can please give me the name of a good private medical insurance company with cheap rates! I can't go much longer without medical insurance, I'm scared an emergency may come up and I'd be stranded! Thanks!

Hey I am in the same dilemma! I am doing agency work, but no insurance. I needed cheap b/c I never go to the doctor, EVER! Try Humana, I am waiting approval from them 118.00 a month for medical and dental, don't know how good the coverage is, but at least you would be covered. Hope this helped. Jennifer

I have had humana before and I trust them. $40.00 bucks a month is cheap, if it is for you go for it!! Let me know how it turns out! Jenn

Have you checked into a HSA? Much cheaper premiums and designed for those who don't visit their doc that often.....
