Nurses General Nursing

I have had the craziest day!!! I can say that after only three months on a med/surg stepdown unit I have arrived!!!! :uhoh3: i now know what an exhilirating feeling it is to run...not walk to my car, blast my stereo and leave it all behind!!!! :rotfl: I know I have a much longer journey ahead of me but that's okay....i just wanted to lift my wine glass to us nurses out there and thank you all for all you do (especially the seasoned nurses, it takes special people and i see that so clear now)!! Not to mention that wicked sense of humor one has to have to survive!! :chuckle

God Bless, AMARTIN1

p.s. Why do things always have to go wrong during change of shift and no one on the next shift has arrived or gotten report? Hope this has created some laughs today.. :chuckle

You put a smile on my face :) Yes it is a great feeling to leave the stress and caos behind after a busy day. To answer your question re: Why things go wrong @ shift change. It's b/c the dear little pts are aware that "we" are about ready to get the heck outa there and their little "stress" buttons go off in there heads thinking no-ones around for approx 30 minutes, all the sudden they become "trigger-happy" w/ their call lights and need something. :rotfl:

Anyways, Thanks for the smile!!
