Jobs after probation??

I'm wondering if it is easier to get a job after termination of probation. I was placed on probation at the same time that my license was granted due to a misdemeanor in 2006 (have had a record clearance for years-even prior to applying to nursing school). The probation is almost over and I'm curious as to whether or not having an incumbered license in the past will limit my opportunitiesw forever.

Yes, not being on probation is better than being on probation when one's seeking employment. As far as your past counting against you, there are variables. What you were on probation for probably matters ...and who else is applying probably matters, too. If ten people with a clear background apply and one person with a blemish applies, the person with the blemish is less likely to be chosen.

Are you actually a nurse yet? If you haven't been cleared to sit for boards, that could also be a hurdle for you.
