I'm just curious and would like to know the following from those of you that have been in the field for awhile:

1. How long have you been in nursing?

2. What was your starting salary?

Hi,

I have been in nursing for 5 years and my starting salary in southern IN for 3-11 shift was 13.00/hr. By the year 2000, I was making 32.00/hr, but, I was the Director and it was tough. Now I am taking a break and doing some home health and agency. Home health pays 30.00-50.00 per visit. Plus tonight I am pulling a 3-11 for 25/hr at a local nursing home.........need some cash.......kind of looking forward to some hands on again. :cool:
