I found med/surg to be very boring

I work on a med/surg/oncology floor for the past 6 months and I found the work to be very boring and routine since my orientation was over. I still consider myself a new nurse and I should feel challenge but I don't. What is wrong with me?

I could not do generalized med/surg. I work ortho/neuro/detox/medical. We get enough different cases to make each patient distinct....maybe a more speicalized floor will help...

You work ortho/neuro/detox/medical....and say you "can't do generalized med-surg"? Sounds very generalized to me!

I guess I could define my unit as ortho/neuro/detox/medical/surgical/renal/respiratory/oncology/etc/etc, LOL....we specialize in the general! :)
