Hey everyone, I really need your help please!!!! I applied to be licensed in MD, however, i just accepted an offer in DC. I just got my ATT and wanted to schedule the day to take my NCLEX. My question is how long it will take to switch a MD license to DC license. I need to have DC license before Feb 20th, and I wanted to take my test on Feb 4th. Any ideas, please!!!

Tight time restraints.... But best wishes, you know if you are lis in any state the VA. Hops system, accepts any U.S. State nursing lis... The VA Hosp in WashDC, which I use to work MICUhas an abundant possibility

As soon as you get your MD license, apply for a DC license. It took me over a month to get a temporary license in DC from my VA license. There is a long process you have to do in order to apply,(passport photos, finger printing, License verification ect.) And check in with them often, I went in at least 4 times to inquire my status because I couldn't get a response any other way. Good luck.

Also its not a switch. You MD license will remain active for as long as its good for. You are just getting an endorsement to practice in DC. You will have a dual license.

Thanks so much.
