Houston RNs - San Jacinto Grads?

Heya Folks,

I was wondering if any of you are in the Houston area and, if so, are you a grad from San Jac? I hear San Jac is a tough school to get into and a killer once you're in compared to some of the other ADN schools around here.

I'm going to SJ - South to get my prereqs (and a boost to my sagging GPA from my previous Assoc Degree) and I would love to hear any advice about getting into the San Jac ADN program, what classes to watch out for, hell, anything you can tell me! :D

I'm taking Intro Algebra, A&P I and General Inorganic Chemistry (repeat, as a refresher) this semster. Next semster I'll be taking A&P II, College Mathematics, Lifespan Growth & Development and, well, that 4th one has me stuck... either I'll grab my humanities elective or knock out that Tech Report Writic class that's required. I plan to take Microbiology in Summer I along with one of my PE's... either Yoga or Martial Arts.

I would like to ask how hard that Pharmacology course is? I was thinking of taking it in Summer II but that accelerated pace of a summer semester might make Pharm way tougher. I had quite a bit of Pharacology in my last AAS degree (Veterinary Technology) and most of the drugs cross over the species line so, I'm thinking it might be a smidge easier than for someone who hasn't been exposed to it.

Thanks in advance! Feel free to contact me privately if you like.
